LAAFF “Mini-Grants” Interactive / Installation LAAFF is looking for artists to help invent new fun programming! We are looking to incorporate new ideas that represent our local culture and the LAAFF ideology. Submissions will be selected based on ingenuity, creativity, sustainability, and interactivity. We want projects that engage festivalgoers and activate conceptual thought. Your proposal should include a description of the activity, any images or drawings, list of materials to be used, and a detailed budget for use of funds. Grant funds will be dispersed when artists check in at the festival in order to ensure that projects are completed the day of the festival. LAAFF will give grants between $250-$750 for the 10 best interactive art projects submitted. Present a project proposal for one of these areas:

We are also looking to invent some new bike games, "big kid" games, and new media/light/projected art for a new exhibition opportunity on Saturday night September 1, 2012.

LAAFF Poster Art LAAFF is looking for an artist to design a new image for the poster for 2012 LAAFF. Please submit a portfolio link or 3-5 images. Three finalists will be selected and asked to draw a “mock-up” of their design, to then be voted on by the LAAFF Council. Submissions open until March 31. Artwork must be finalized by May 1, 2012.

There will be a $250 prize for the artist who is selected to design the poster this year.
